A complete alarm report lets a service engineer reproduce the problem, identify the affected system and recommend a safer next step. Avoid sending only the alarm number because the same code can have different causes on different controllers and machine configurations.
INFORMATION TO INCLUDE
• Machine model, serial number, controller brand and controller version.
• The complete alarm message exactly as shown, including code, axis and time.
• What the machine was doing immediately before the alarm appeared.
• Recent changes such as new tools, moved cables, parameter edits, software updates or maintenance work.
PHOTOS AND VIDEO
Take one clear photo of the full controller screen and one wider photo showing the machine state. If safe, record a short video that includes the startup sequence, sound and moment the alarm appears. Do not open live electrical cabinets or bypass safety devices for a photo.
BASIC CHECKS BEFORE CONTACTING SUPPORT
Confirm emergency stops are released, air pressure and power supply are normal, cables are seated and the work area is clear. Restart only when the controller manual permits it and the machine is in a safe state.
WHAT NOT TO CHANGE
Do not reset servo parameters, PLC files, offsets or safety settings unless a TechPro CNC engineer confirms the exact procedure. Back up current parameters first. A clear report helps remote support decide whether the issue can be resolved online or requires an on-site visit.
